Graduate School of Biological Sciences within the College of Science and Engineering
or
Graduate School of Medicine & Veterinary Medicine within the College of Medicine & Veterinary Medicine.

The Biomedical Sciences Graduate Programme encompasses training of relevance to biomedical sciences graduate students which spans both Colleges:
MSc by Research in Biomedical Sciences
This is a one year full time programme which provides training in each of two or three complementary elective research themes, with the opportunity to acquire relevant research skills and associated generic/transferable skills, in order to provide students with thorough and specific preparation for subsequent 3 year PhD training in the biomedical sciences. |

Tranferable Skills Programme
The Biomedical Sciences Graduate Programme also provides training in professional research skills and personal transferable skills, which aim to make you a more effective researcher and improve your career prospects. The Transferable Skills Programme is offered on a pan-university basis, so providing students with the opportunity to meet research students from other disciplines. It covers topics such as communication, time management, presentation skills, teamwork, leadership and interview skills. Specifically for biomedical sciences students, training covers topics such as ethics in research, commercial and government research and the exploitation of ideas. |
